Nearly 700 wolves in Greater Yellowstone and central Idaho are on death row -- awaiting slaughter under the Bush Administration's pending "License to Kill" plan.
You have the power to win them a life-saving reprieve -- but you must act immediately.
We only have four days left to reach our goal of generating 200,000 Citizen Comments before the Bush Administration's August 6 deadline. After that date, they stop taking input from the public.
Over 100,000 Americans have already responded in outrage to this cruel wolf-killing proposal.
With only four days left, we are imploring everyone who receives this message to take immediate action.
At this critical hour -- before the U.S. Fish & Wildlife's public comment period shuts down for good on August 6 -- you are the last, best hope for hundreds of wolves in the northern Rockies.
Please submit your Official Citizen Comment now -- while you still can -- and help us win a life-saving reprieve for the gray wolves of Greater Yellowstone and central Idaho.

Tue, September 25, 2007 - 8:51 AMIt's Never too late!
a new window of opportunity just opened to save wolves from impending
slaughter -- but we only have 3 weeks left before that window slams shut.
Please speak out NOW by going to www.nrdconline.org/campaign...WolvesIII
The Bush Administration has just opened a new public comment period and is inviting you to submit your opinion on its wolf-killing plan today.
Please register your opposition immediately -- even if you spoke out on behalf of wolves this summer
This summer NRDC generated 100,000 messages of opposition to this cold-blooded plan. In the next 3 weeks, we need to generate another 100,000 messages to stop the killing before it starts, which could be as early as this winter.
Wyoming and Idaho are both planning to use aerial gunning -- as well as baiting and trapping -- to exterminate wolves. Wyoming wants to "control" and kill as many wolves as the federal government will allow. And the state is prepared to spend a scandalous amount of taxpayer money -- more than $2 million a year -- to get the deed done.
Taken together, their plans could drive northern Rocky Mountain gray wolves back to the brink of extinction.
